Our bags are proudly made in the USA. Currently, our sewing facility in Denver, CO, assembles the end product. All components are sourced from US companies that manufacture in the US. We order components from facilities from New York to Los Angeles, to Indiana and western Colorado. Also, 3b bags is an 5th generation American, family-run small business out of the Denver-Metro and Boulder, Colorado area. Previously, our bags were made in China, but we made the switch to US manufacturing in 2018 to reduce our carbon footprint, support ethical labor, and improve the overall quality of our bags.
We have had our fabric and packaging tested by Intertek. Our fabric does not contain any of the chemicals listed in California’s Proposition 65 – no bisphenol-a (BPA), no heavy metals and no Phthalates (7 Phthalates). California’s Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to warn consumers of any products that contain chemicals that California determines to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. The current list of chemicals can be found at http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html.
A reusable produce bag can easily save over 1000 plastic produce bags in its lifetime. Once a plastic produce bag is pulled off the roll, they have a life of as long as it takes you to get home and unload your produce. While they are not made of a recycled fabric, they are a sustainable way to carry your produce and other items.
The main purpose of our Reusable Produce Bags is for grocery shopping. We do not claim that they prolong the freshness of your produce and other items.
We don’t think it's right that our bags wind up in a landfill after years of use. You can send your bag back to us and we will take care of getting it recycled. Send to: 3B Bags Recycling Effort 9261 Prairie View Dr. Littleton, CO, 80126
